It's amazing, the unwanted attention Belle de Jour is getting.

Something that I should preserve before it gets lost in the vastness that is Cyberspace. This is me from a long time ago. Some things don't change much.

Weariness.

Weary that "catching up" means comparing to see who's doing better.

Weary that every time I need to talk, nobody's home.

Weary at having to watch what I say even in front of good friends.

Weary that I've been giving more than I've been receiving in most relationships.

Weary of the wilful experimentalism of youth, but..

Weary of the emotionless pragmatism that comes with maturity.

Weary. Just plain weary.

What is the purpose of a web journal if nobody reads it? Yet, if people do read your online journal, how much would you reveal of yourself in it? To me, this is the greatest paradox of the web journal.

Today I was playing with the cat. She has a rather peculiar habit. She likes to slide head down with her back against your ankle. It's something like trying to do a somersault against a tree or something. Anyway, today she tried to do the same thing to me, except that she was trying to do it to my outstretched palm. The end result? She got stuck halfway through her somersault (not enough anchoring, my dear), paused in that blood-rushing-to-head position for about 3 seconds, and fell sideways with a soft thud onto the paquet floor. She had that bewildered look in her eyes. Hilarious, if you ask me.

Have realised I've been going for short, one-lined kind of entries of late. I should recapture the grandeur of Chapters during its heyday. Yes, it's still there! Time for me to get my creative juices flowing - been having a bit of a drought. Later.

I love the sound of raindrops on the roof. Makes me feel like curling up in bed with a good book. Wish it would rain the whole week. Weather change's better for my mood.

I'm playing the game of "Spot the Singaporean's blog". I've been looking out on Blogger's 'Recently published blogs' for blogs that just scream "Singaporean!". It's been 5 out of 5 so far. Lame, childish titles full of weird symbols and broken English. So typical.
